Custom business apps, built without code.

I build client portals, CRMs and tracking tools for doulas, wellness practices and other small service businesses. You run them from a phone or a browser, and you own them outright.

What I build

Most solo practitioners and small teams already know what they need to track. It lives in spreadsheets, texts and a notebook. I turn that into one app.

Client management
One place for client records, appointments, notes, invoices and payments, with the status of every client visible at a glance.
Client portals
A private login where your clients see their own information, send requests and fill in forms, without emailing you for every update.
Inventory and tracking
Know what you have, who has it and where it went, for equipment, uniforms, supplies or anything else that moves around.
Automation
Reminder emails, invoice numbering, payment confirmations and status changes that happen on their own, so routine admin stops landing on you.

Recent work

Three apps I've built on no-code platforms.

Doula practice CRM Built for Soulful Doulas

Client records, service tracking, invoicing and payment tracking for a doula business, replacing a mix of spreadsheets and manual bookkeeping. It is now the template for other doula practices.

Uniform inventory tracker Workforce inventory

Tracks what uniform stock is on hand and who has been issued what, so counts come from the app instead of a spreadsheet someone has to reconcile.

CareDirectory Basalta's own product

A directory and request platform for Ontario home care agencies. Families post a care request and agencies respond. It handles online payments, subscriptions and automatic emails. See it at gethomecaredirectory.com.

How it works

You pay for a defined build, then decide whether you want ongoing help.

  1. We talk through the problem

You describe how the work happens today. I write up what the app will do and what it will cost before anything is built.

  2. I build it in a few weeks

Most projects take three to four weeks. You see working versions along the way and can change direction early.

  3. A 30-day break-in

You use the app on real work. Fixes and adjustments in that first month are covered, with three hours of labour included.

  4. Support if you want it

A monthly support plan covers changes and questions. It is optional. The app runs on your own account, so you are never locked in.

About Basalta

Basalta is run by Terrence Rock in Ontario. I spent my career in IT and in public transit scheduling systems, where the work is making complicated operations dependable. I apply the same discipline to doula and wellness practices and other small businesses: understand how the work really happens, then build something simple enough that people use it.

I build on no-code platforms such as Glide. That keeps projects affordable and fast, and it means you can see and change what I build.

Tell me what you're tracking in spreadsheets.

Send a few lines about your business and what's slowing you down. I'll reply with whether an app makes sense and what it would involve.
